We’re Probably Not Supposed to Say This… But We Will

There was a long stretch of my life where I honestly hated Valentine’s Day.

It felt commercial. Forced. Performative.

And if I’m being really honest… it was also hard because I didn’t fully love myself yet. I didn’t really know how to let love in. So a full day centered around love felt more like a spotlight on what I thought I was missing.

And yes… we still think parts of it are commercial.

And also? We love love.

We love seeing people celebrated.

We love watching people reconnect to themselves.

We love reminders — even the cheesy ones — that love matters.

And here’s the bold part.

Michelle and I love our clients.

We tell them that.

Somewhere along the way, many of us were taught professionals shouldn’t say that.

Too much. Too personal. Too blurred.

But we’re heart-first humans.

And we refuse to pretend love isn’t part of transformation.

And here’s what we see all the time —

So many incredible humans have a hard time receiving love.

Not because they don’t want it.

Because they learned they had to earn it first. Or they full on block it because they don't think they deserve it.

So we’ll say it clearly today:

We love you.

We love who you are.

We love who you’re becoming.

We love the brave, messy, growing-in-real-time version of you.

Not someday.

Not when you have it all figured out.

Now.

If Valentine’s Day is joyful for you — celebrate it.

If it’s tender — you’re not broken.

If it’s just Saturday with chocolate — honestly, solid plan.

Maybe today is just a reminder:

Love isn’t built in one big day.

It’s built in small, ordinary moments.

Including the way you treat yourself.

You are not behind.

You are not too much.

You are not hard to love.
